C.H.Bailey House Bed & Breakfast,
Roseburg, Oregon

The C.H. Bailey House is a "green" historic, elegantly-appointed, country-quiet retreat in the Land of Umpqua. Award winning wineries, a fly fishing haven, gateway to Crater Lake, waterfalls and a dynamic music scene make this destination an idyllic lodging experience.

Nestled in the Deer Creek Valley, the C.H. Bailey House is a historic farmhouse built in 1909 by Dr. Clarence H. Bailey. Surrounded by rolling hills, pastures, and a 50 acre Christmas tree farm, you will find many scenic places. Come relax with a book, star gaze, bird watch or soak in the hot tub. Or, maybe you’re looking for adventure. Hike to a local waterfall, white water raft, mountain bike the North Umpqua Trail, take a guided fishing trip, wine taste, go antiquing or golfing. It is all close by.

Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, adventure, or rest for a weary traveler, the C.H. Bailey house is right for you.

Green, Fresh and Local
You can relax at the C.H. Bailey House knowing that your luxurious gourmet B & B experience will leave a small foot print on the earth. There are many ways we have incorporated our green lifestyle into the C.H. Bailey House.

You'll find fruits, vegetables and herbs from our organic garden in your breakfast. We purchase local organic food products whenever available and receive a weekly CSA share of organic vegetables and fruit from Big Lick Farm. We compost food scraps.

You'll discover that the complimentary treats provided for guests including wine, chocolates, dairy products and soap are made and purchased in Roseburg to support our local economy. We serve locally roasted Fair Trade coffee at your bedroom door.

You'll find refillable dispensers in bathrooms for soap and shampoo to avoid unneccessary waste and disposal of plastic bottles. We clean with environmentally friendly products.

Most of the electricity for the C.H. Bailey House comes from solar panels on the south side roofs of our garage and barn, and we use e-lighting wherever possible. We also recycle.

We strive daily to learn of new ways to lessen our impact on the earth while providing a comfortable, lovely and healthy guest experience.
